Standing Up for Dignity, Freedom, and Justice

Every year on 10th December, the world comes together to observe International Human Rights Day, a moment dedicated to reflecting on the fundamental freedoms and protections that belong to every human being. This year, Elizabeth Akinyi Mökkönen, Nyakach MP Aspirant 2027, is joining the wider community to take part in this important global event.

With the theme centred on equality, dignity, and justice for all, the day offers an essential platform for Nyakach residents to champion the rights and values that hold society together.

Mobilizing the Community for a Greater Purpose

Elizabeth Akinyi Mökkönen is organizing a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness, unity, and civic responsibility across Nyakach. Her goal is to ensure that every member of the community, youth, women, elders, and persons living with disabilities, understands their rights and feels empowered to defend and uphold them.

Planned activities include:

Human Rights awareness walk
Community dialogues on equality and justice
Youth forums on civic participation
Engagement sessions on women and children's rights
